Fortnightly News Update 1/3/2013
Condolences
Many of you would know Joyleen Litherland, the Woden Seniors Singers conductor, music director and organiser of music and programs for over ten years. Joyleen’s husband, Len passed away on St Valentine’s day. We were proud to sing with two of her grandchildren at the funeral.
Thank you Joyleen. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. Woden Seniors Singers.
Tip for the Week
If you receive an email which requires you click on “download pictures” or any other link, have a good look at the full email address. It may say Facebook, for example, in the summary address, but the full address may show it came from somewhere else. If in doubt never click on a link in an email – particularly if it says it is from a bank or financial institution!
Thought for the Week

The National Film and Sound Archive is calling to YOU!
Imagining the Capital: Canberra on Film is an outdoor film screening and concert that celebrates the Centenary of Canberra. Imagining the Capital unites some of Canberra’s finest performers with rarely seen footage of Canberra, to explore the breadth and depth of the NFSA’s collection.
Focussing on our shifting values and interests over the last 100 years with warmth, humour and fun, Imagining the Capital celebrates what makes Canberra Canberra. This screening shines a light on who we are, where we come from and most importantly, where we are going.
We would love you to be part of this event!

Would you like to help teach Year 1 ANU medical students about these challenges & how you manage them?
What would you have to do? Come along and join a small group of students (about 8) and their tutor (a doctor who runs the group), and talk with them about your experiences & be willing to answer some questions about your current health status (for example, mobility & activities of daily living).
You are welcome to bring a family member or friend with you if you wish.
