Everything is in place for a successful Christmas lunch on Monday.  Thank you to everyone who has indicated that they will attend;  the acceptance list is now full, the food has been ordered, the entertainers have been warming up, and the Christmas hampers are ready to be won.    Let the fun begin!

NEW ACTIVITIES IN 2025 ….

Memoir Writing Group

Have you ever thought of writing your memoir or stories from your life experiences?  For your family, your friends, or even just for yourself?

Come along to a Memoir Writing Group on Tuesday afternoons, 1.00pm in the Anne Murray Room, starting on 21st January 2025.  Looking forward to seeing you.  Any queries can be directed to Katherine McCarthy, 0400 456 841.

.

Book Club

Do you like to read?  Our Book Club will meet on the last Friday of each month, 2.00pm in the Anne Murray Room.  The first meeting will be Friday 31st January.  Again, any queries to Katherine McCarthy, 0400 456 841.

Many thanks to Katherine for leading these two initiatives.

TALENT ON SHOW

Today’s photos are of Wednesday’s end of year performance by the Recorder Group, for friends and invited guests.  A lovely afternoon of excellent playing followed up by a delightful afternoon tea, provided by the performers.  It is just wonderful to be reminded of, and I am in awe of, the range and depth of talents and interests of members of Woden Seniors.

A WELCOME UPGRADE

This morning the work is being done to upgrade the lighting in the Anne Murray Room.  Our thanks go to the Southern Cross Club who awarded us a grant, enabling us to replace the originals with modern LEDs which will make a big difference for members using the room and of course will make a difference to the amount of electricity consumed.
