Government House Family Day – 10am – 4pm, Saturday 21 September
The Club has been invited to run a stall at the Government House Family Day on Saturday 21 September.  This event is part of Canberra’s 100 years birthday celebration and 15,000 to 20,000 people are expected to attend it.  It is a great opportunity to promote the Club and showcase our activities.
Break-in at the Club Premises
The Club premises were broken into on Sunday night/Monday morning of 18/19 August.  Some cash was stolen and some damage was done to the front office.  In light of this experience, we have reviewed our security procedures and on advice from the AFP have upgraded our locks and changed our keys to the Club.
It is always distressing when this sort of thing happens, senseless petty crime that impacts on all of us.  The reality is that this person/s is likely to return, it therefore behoves all of us to be aware and report any suspicious behaviour to Polly in the front office or to one of the Management Committee members.

Tip for the Week
Have you tried all the buttons on your digital TV remote? The Guide button will show all the programs on your screen and will enable you to go to a program without remembering the channel number. The Info button will give you a description of a program while the program is on or when it is highlighted on the Guide screen (two presses give you a fuller description.)
