Friday 5, Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 April – our 2024 Book Fair
Judy Henderson, our Book Fair Co-ordinator, says…
‘There is only a week to go to our BIG Book Fair.
We will need people to help set up from 12 noon on Thursday 4 April, and to pack up from 4 pm on Sunday 7 April. So, if you can come, even for a short time your help would be appreciated. Many hands make light work!
There are still some flyers left. Why not take a few – they are available at the office – and letter box drop your neighbours?
And don’t forget to come along! Most books, jigsaws and board games will be $2.50 each and children’s books, DVDs and CDs are just $1 each. As usual, we will declare happy hour from 2 pm on Sunday when everything will be half price.
I look forward to seeing YOU as you come through the checkout line and I especially look forward to being able to report a new sales record in the next edition of the Fortnightly News.
ARE YOU A PIANIST?
We need you! Our wonderful choir meets to rehearse on Monday mornings and on Thursday afternoons to sing for the residents in some local nursing homes. They do their best work when accompanied and supported by a pianist. Choir Director Gail Guiliano would love to talk to you, or maybe someone you know? about how you might like to be involved. Polly will be happy to put you in touch with Gail.

If you want to call a family meeting, turn off the wi-fi router and wait next to it.
Sometimes, I just want someone to hug me and say “I know it’s hard. You’re going to be OK. Here is chocolate and 6 million dollars”.
You are the driver of your own life. Do not let anyone steal your seat.
Does anyone know which page of the bible explains how to turn water into wine?
Just asking for a friend.
I guess I burn about 1000 calories when I try to put a fitted sheet on a bed by myself.
The first time I got a universal remote control, I thought to myself “this changes everything”
