THE HIGH TEA
What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon!! The whole occasion was so special, starting with the wonderful musical welcome as guests arrived and received their welcoming glass of bubbles. The tables were a delight to the eye, and the delicious afternoon tea items, so expertly served, were marvellous.
Kari’s expert touch showed in every aspect of the afternoon, and with the help of her wonderful team on the day of Maria, Marianne, Monica, Katherine and Kim provided a very enjoyable experience for all in attendance. Our thanks to them all. To those who donated items for the hamper raffle – a very happy winner took that home – and to those whose donations of food and wine and the loan of crockery and other items which together raised a magnificent $1500 for the Club – we thank you.
Are you decluttering? With a view to perhaps another such occasion, Kari is putting together a “glory box” for the Club and would appreciate donations of tea sets.
Talk’n’Taste Sessions
A reminder that the final two FREE Talk ‘n Taste sessions will be held on Tuesday 30th September and Tuesday 7th October, 11.00am to 12 noon. It’s not too late to let Polly know if you would like to attend for either of the remaining two topics.

Tuesday 7 October – Making every mouthful count.
COTA EXPO
Sue Allen, Roger Tomlins and I, along with representatives from the Canberra Seniors Club, spent a very busy and I think valuable day promoting our Clubs at this year’s COTA Seniors Expo. An enormous number of businesses and organisations involved in providing goods, services and information for seniors were there, and we had the opportunity to talk about what we do to a continuous stream of interested people.
