Dates to Remember

Friday 25 April – ANZAC Day Public Holiday – Club will be closed

Friday 2 May – NEW ACTIVITY – Canasta. See below.

Friday 9 May – Mothers’ Day afternoon tea and raffle draw

FEE INCREASE

To help keep pace with increasing costs – which affect Woden Seniors in the same way as any other organisation – your Committee has decided that there will be small increase in our activity fees.

From 1^st July this year, the fee schedule will reflect a $1.00 increase per activity, so the new fees will be

First activity on a day – $7.00

Second activity on the same day – $5.00

Any additional activity on the same day – $0.00.

YMCA sessions – $8.50

Visitors attending an activity – $8.00

We will of course print new vouchers to use from 1 July.

HOWEVER – if you have unused $7.50, $6 or $4 vouchers at 1 July, Polly will stamp them with the Club stamp to indicate that they are now $8.50, $7.00 or $5.00 vouchers – for the bargain price of $1.00 per stamp. You can, of course, also simply use your old vouchers and add $1.00 cash.

MOTHERS’ DAY AFTERNOON TEA

FRIDAY 9^TH MAY at 3.00pm.

Members are invited to an afternoon of social enjoyment and afternoon tea on the Friday afternoon before Mothers’ Day.

We will take advantage of the occasion to draw the winners of our current raffle.

Please RSVP to Polly by Wednesday 7^th May if you are planning to attend.

A reminder about the raffle….tickets are $1.00 each and are available from Polly now, singly or in books of 6…. to buy for yourself and/or sell . The raffle will be drawn on Friday 9^th May at the Club. The prizes are on display at Polly’s counter.

Proceeds from the raffle are being used to fund the purchase of the very comfortable new green chairs which are adding to the welcoming and pleasant feel of our foyer.
