Bridge Beginner Lessons
Cathy Padovan will be offering Bridge lessons for new players in the New Year commencing on Monday 30 January 2017 from 1.30 – 3.30 pm and running through the school term. If you are interested in learning or refreshing your knowledge of this fascinating game please let Polly know on 6282 2573.
Wednesday Morning YMCA Ever Active Group
The Wednesday morning YMCA Ever Active exercise group is looking for new participants, if you are interested in some early morning exercise before it gets too hot and possibly a chat over a coffee afterwards why not give it a go.
Canberra Night Sky and Celestial Navigation
A presentation by Keith Hardy, Dr Haisong Wang and Mike Gawan-Taylor on the Canberra night sky will be given on Wednesday 15 February from 7pm to 8.30pm. Gold coin donation please.
ACT Seniors My Way Card – Important Update
Transport Canberra has partnered with Transport NSW to give ACT Seniors My Way card holders access to concession travel in NSW using a NSW Gold Opal Card.
Seniors with an early ACT Seniors Card (i.e. one that has 6 numbers as opposed to 9 on the current cards) will need to apply for a card replacement in order to apply for a NSW Gold Opal Card.
ACT Seniors My Way Cards that have not been used to travel on ACT buses for a period of two years or more will have expired and should also be replaced.
Please allow up to 7 days for a new or replacement ACT Seniors My Way card registration before applying for a NSW Gold Opal card. Application for a NSW Gold Opal card, can be made online: https://www.opal.com.au/en/about-opal/opal_for_senior_pensioners/, or by phoning 13 67 25.
New and replacement ACT Seniors My Way Cards are available from COTA ACT Hughes office, ACT Libraries and Access Canberra Shopfronts as suggested on the application form.
2017 Big Book Fair, 11 – 13 August 2017
We are desperately seeking helpers to sort, clean and pack the wonderful donations of books, games (especially old board games), DVDs, vinyl records, CDs, postcards, and jigsaw puzzles for our 2017 Big Book Fair.
