DATES TO REMEMBER
Monday 18 September: Woden Seniors Inc. Annual General Meeting
Friday 5, Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 April 2024 – our 2024 Book Fair
VALE PAUL McGLEW
On behalf of Woden Seniors we extend our sympathy to Paul’s partner Magda and to his family.
The sad news of Paul’s death was advised to members by email on Monday.
Paul was President of Woden Seniors from 2012 to 2021, succeeding Roy Parekh and Anne Murray.
Among his many contributions to the welfare of the Club and its members was his work to develop the Book Fair from its small beginnings to what is now a well-known Canberra event.
Paul will be remembered for his love of Argentinian tango dancing, music of all kinds, of travel, adventure and the acquisition of new skills and interests, and for his love for his family.
The video of the service for Paul yesterday, including the slideshow of photos provided by his family, can be viewed by accessing the link below.
The address for the livestream given in the Canberra Times notice did not work and Tobins staff provided the link above which does work and will remain available for some time.

FOR MEMBERS WHO HAVE TPG, iiNet, INTERNODE or WESTNET email addresses
TPG, iiNet, Internode and Westnet Email Addresses – Action Required by 15/9/2023*
The Internet Service provider TPG has announced that it, and its subsidiaries iiNet, Internode and Westnet, will stop providing email services on 15 September 2023*. This means that if you have a @tpg.com.au or @iinet.net.au or @internode.on.net or @westnet.com.au email address you will need to do one of the following:
If you want to keep your current email address you will need to transfer it to the paid email provider The Messaging Company before 15 September 2023*. It cannot be transferred to any other provider and will be deleted if not transferred. Your current provider will pay The Messaging Company’s email service charge for you until 15 September 2024. After 15 September 2024 you will be responsible for The Messaging Company charges, which are currently unavailable, or your account/email address will be cancelled. When signing up with The Messaging Company you will be required to agree to their terms and conditions (including charges) and privacy policy (including how they handle your personal information). It is important you read these documents.
For full details (including links to terms and conditions and privacy policy documents) and to initiate the transfer please go to the respective website for your current provider listed below.
If you do not want to keep your current email address it will automatically become inactive from 15 September 2023* and you will not be able to send or receive messages using that address. Any messages stored on the server will be deleted. Please refer to the website of your current provider (listed below) for full details.
As a replacement you may choose to create a new email address with a free email provider such as Gmail (@gmail.com) available at Create your Google Account or Outlook (@outlook.com) at Create account (live.com). If you use an Apple product (iPhone, iPad, Mac computer) you may already have an iCloud email address (@icloud.com or @me.com or @mac.com) which you can use. Or you can change to another Internet Service Provider which offers an email service in their plan.
If you do change your email address it is recommended for personal ID security reasons that you do not include your year or date of birth in the username, as is commonly done. Also, please ensure you notify Polly and all your current contacts, including financial and other businesses and subscription services of the new address.

*Some existing customers of TPG and its subsidiaries have received an email about the new arrangements but to date not all have been individually notified. Some have been informed their email address may be suspended earlier than 15 September 2023 if they do not opt-in to transfer by then. You are therefore advised to activate the transfer as soon as possible if that is your intention.
