THE TULIP TOP EXCURSION
After a week’s postponement – a day out in the garden in the rain was not looking like fun – our day at Tulip Top gardens on Wednesday this week was very special. The weather was ideal, blue skies, warm but not hot, lots of flowers and lots of shady areas to sit, talk and enjoy. A generous serve of fresh sandwiches and a mini pav provided for our lunch ensured that we were fuelled up for the afternoon. Thanks everyone for helping to make it such an enjoyable occasion, and especially thanks to Roger Tomlins for guiding the walkers from the Club to Bay 6 at the Interchange.
PAST TIMES
As part of the Club’s History Project, every issue that we have been able to obtain of the Meridian Newsletter (so far) has been uploaded to our website – https://www.wodenseniors.org.au/accordions/
The Meridian was published as a paper document between 1991 and 2012 before being replaced by the now familiar digital edition emailed to members. The publication went from a few typewritten and mechanically duplicated pages to a professionally produced and printed magazine. Some very interesting reading covering a period of much growth and development for Woden Seniors.
