Date Change – 2026 Book Fair
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to change the dates for the 2026 Book Fair. It will now be a week later than originally proposed.
The dates are:
Friday 27 March
Saturday 28 March
Sunday 29 March
We will be setting up on Thursday 26 March.
Please put these dates in your diary.
COTA EXPO
Woden Seniors, together with Canberra Seniors, will have a stall at the forthcoming COTA ACT Seniors and Better Ageing Expo. There are always a wide variety of exhibitors representing businesses and organisations of interest to seniors and is well worth a visit.
CAR PARK ISSUE
There have been a couple of incidents of – luckily relatively minor – in recent weeks of damage to members’ cars in the carpark. These have been in the area in front of the building which as we know is quite narrow and not easy to negotiate. Please do take care if you are parking in this area, and please do consider parking in the side or back areas if you have a larger vehicle.
MISSING BISCUITS
A number of activity groups bring biscuits or other edibles to the Club and store them in labelled containers in cupboards in the rooms they use. These are of course paid for by the people in the groups and intended for the members of those groups. It saddens me to have to report that in recent times some of these items have been going missing, which is disappointing to say the least.

Thanks for these Peter!
