Woden Library is holding a “Memoir Writing Workshop” with author Maggie Walters, on Saturday 18 October 2025 from 10:30 am to 1 pm: https://www.library.act.gov.au/whats-new/whats-new-items/september-2025/author-talk-with-maggie-walters .
If you are looking for inspiration to put some of your life’s thoughts in writing, why not join our club’s memoir writing group on Tuesdays between 1:30pm and 3pm? If you are a storyteller, we also have a creative writing group on Tuesdays from 11am to 12:30pm.
Talk’n’Taste Sessions
This series of six sessions provided by Leanne and Tamieka from Nutrition Australia (ACT) was particularly directed at nutrition for seniors and was extremely informative and interesting. There is a fact sheet from each of the sessions which have suggestions for foods which support brain, bones, muscle, gut, and heart health and an overall ‘make every mouthful count’ and if you would like a copy of any or all of these, either Polly or I can send to you by email.
They also recommended the book below and I have had feedback indicating that it is a very useful and interesting read.
